The After World: a novel Review Available in paperback (love this editions cover) 5 stars What a bleak, awesome, creative, masterful, apocalyptic dystopian novel that subtly pays homage to many works published before of the same genre without being obvious. It is meta in many ways, futuristic, unrealistic, yet completely possible as a future for our demise as a human race, ignoring climate change. The narrator is unique, and the last pages will turn the entire novel into some

Thank you @andrewsmcmeelkids @andrewsmcmeel for the second book. 👉 Do YOU know what builds character during the Summer? GOATSITTING 😆 and she is no ordinary goat. 🐐 👉 Hilarious tale of a boy who gets a summer job to build character as his father suggested 👉 Has lots of humor that boys will appreciate 👉 The goat is as hilarious as Heihei (my personal opinion). I was always excited

Book here ● Review ● #gamerville This is an auto-buy graphic novel author for me. There is always a great balance between drama, serious themes, and positive resolutions. Great values and life lessons. In this volume, we have two main cores and several subthemes. First: the life of gamers who focus on online lifestyle vs. outdoor activities. The author shows more similarities than differences, and I appreciate that, I love both: games and the outdoors in a balanced way, and I

●REVIEW ● #masterslavehusbandwife 5 stars An amazing historical tool that can be used in the classroom or to understand better a specific period in history, also the suffering of human beings. It is well written and easy to follow and understand although there are plenty of jumps in the timeline between the narration of their escape and the past to better understand where they come from, what they have endured up to this point, and the locations and people that are part of th

Review: #thelastmurderattheendoftheworld As a murder mystery, it's a 4, but as a sci-fi dystopian, it's a 5 for me. My favorite part was not one chapter or a unique scene, but the entire novel as a whole after finishing and looking back. Although it has a lot of great moments, lines, and plot twists, it only works if we don't skip, not even one paragraph. The main character is a person who has a skill that doesn't fit the world she lives in. To them, she is useless. She qu

As a superfan of #studioghibli I jumped into this one immediately. Don't miss this one. @rgraudin #TheGirlWhoKeptTheCastle #storygramkids @theshelfstuff and @storygramkids Thank you for the free copy. My review: A fun read with humor magic and adventure, making it an uplifting girl rising to power kind of story & entertaining. It's not a portal fantasy. Wonderful magical worlds. Great fans of Diana Wynne Jones and the magic words of Studio Ghibli. Awesome. Fae is a girl cau

Reread this book 🌸🧡Review: 5 🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸 I appreciate this book greatly for being a Portuguese born (Bettencourt) and Açores is my grandfather's home. Thank you, author, for using the island as inspiration for this amazing story. Also, it took me back to my childhood and great moments of reading Heidi, catching oranges, and reading the Secret Garden. Awesome LGBTQ+ representation with both fathers and P. P brings a lot of action and fun to the story. They are a great sideki

My Review 5 stars Wolfsong is an amazing love story not only of two young boys but of found family and friendship. The author is masterful in making us experience emotions rather than turning us into an audience. That is what I love most about his writing. His unique characters sometimes defy our readers' comfort zone and challenge us to read something familiar but also out of the box. This looks like a long book, but I devoured it in a single day. Most of the paragraphs are

I'm still in awe at the amazing storytelling and pacing. Fabulous Ya mystery. A girl goes missing and the town blames the boyfriend but he knows they should be trying harder to find her. It's for teens so the boy decides to take over the investigation with the

Picture Book review: 5/5 A very sweet journey and a story about facing fears. I like that in a way he is listing all the things that scare him but Herbie finds a way to get over each one. When I was a child I used to sing too when I had to cross a silent dark cornfield. It was good to relate to this little fellow and remember a precious memory. What are your fears? What do you do about it to be a little braver tomorrow? I bought a copy to support the author. @ellennancyauth
