The Wall

Here is a #dystopian with an interesting twist. By @brianpenn

👉 They fell in love, like Romeo and Juliet, and they get separated but wait... in this book starts with her death and a giant wall keeping them apart

👉 She is living her second life now, and he will go through a transformation to enter her world

👉 Short read and filled with action, great start of a series

4 stars

The first thought I had once the main character decides to go through the transformation for the sake of his love was: I want to play this video game, but I am OK too if it's turning into a show. (It may be soon with Apple TV)

It grabs us from the very first page. A wall was risen to separate the people and rank them, they are being used as a life resource for the rich and powerful to prolong life, and the couple in love is separated not only by death, a second life, a wall but by the fact that he is the son of the rebellion and she is the daughter of the powerful ruler. It gave me Romeo and Juliet meets Jasmine vibes; she has a fun, stormy personality.

With multiple POVs, there is a plan in action, and we can't stop turning the page.

A lot, I mean a lot of 70s, 80s, references.

It will please action, gamers, or just dystopian readers to reunite the couple.

Great size for a book 1.

I got a copy from the author for an honest review. My opinions are my own.

(Continues... doesn't fit here. full review on Goodread, my blog, Amazon, bookbub, storygraph, B&N)
