THE VIOLET WEST
Fantasy Novels & Graphic Novels

I can't believe it's been that long. I had a lot of fun drawing, writing, and creating this series. I got to meet cute, smart fans along the way who have shared Polly, Paws, and many doors of possibilities with me. Thank you for your kind love. Polly and the Black Ink is a series of 5 volumes (each volume solves one issue and the 5 together solve the bigger plot). I illustrated and wrote thinking of my students. It's a story of bravery and friendship, self-discovery and commu

Read the series, start here https://amzn.to/4wYevGZ Candidate for Murder 5+ 🐕 THIS volume!!! For those who have no passion for Gnarly because he sometimes makes a few sandwiches or wedding rings disappear... this is the volume we get HIS flashback. ❤️Why i love Gnarly so much when he's naughty? It could be a dog or a spoiled child, it's the love the author has for her dog that gets through her words in this series, with humor. That kind of love makes us forgive naughty act

Book Info: Title: The Dog Heist by Dani Jansen Genre: Middle Grade Publishing Date: September 1, 2026 Review: 4.5 stars 🌟 With the strength of a novel in verse. This is a short literary fiction work for children that is not focused on a fast-paced action plot format to entertain, but more of a quiet, emotional (kinda sad and bleak isolation) and introspection of their lives. Both POVs (Caleb & Val) realize from their coming-of-age difficulties and how they have to grow quick

🥰📚 Just finished... #themysteriousmagicoflighthouselane 5 stars This is a @simonkids book I bought on @librofm for a walk at the beach By author @erin_n_stewart whom I've posted some words before like: Every Borrowed Beat (YA), The Forgetting Magic of Zoe Turner, Scars like Wigs Lucy has big feelings. People say she's too much. I can relate to that. Most of people don't even trust to understand them just get offended, or bully, or disregard that Lucy can't deal with bad new

📚From the creator of series like Cleopatra in Space 🥰🥰🥰🥰 comes... #themoonlitspiral Soooo gorgeous 5 stars , full review soon ...comes a wildly imaginative, enormously thrilling and deeply felt story of treasure-hunting friends Best friends Rion and Zyla live in the fantastic world of Helix, where treasure hunting was once a way of life. Nowadays, though, it seems like people are more concerned with researching the past than looking for real treasure in the present. Life

📚 Review of #Danceoftheowlwoman Early copy provided by @booksparks 4.5 stars A beautiful, lyrical, very well-written YA magic realism book. I just discovered this one (will get book 1 too) The characters are sweet for fans of Ghibli kindness, brave females, and unique sidekicks. I like books that have characters of different ages. The lore is amazing, feels native and full of cultural richness. The author has a great way of writing using all senses, tension and emotional m

Thursday Lauren Carr Mac Faraday Mysteries Readathon 3 reviews today ✅️Three Days To Forever 5+ High stakes. Hitman and national security. Great switch, a bit of a departure from the previous Christian themes (only one novel). We're back to a more urban, larger-scale conspiracy, threats, and the past knocking on their doors with trouble. David gets the lead in this book more than Mac in police work, and is entrusted with a protection task to make sure the past doesn't kill Ar

Super excited with the release of this one. Ferec, a streetwise secret agent working in the magical city of Wickhills gets caught on the run while trying to protect a defecting scientist carrying a powerful magical weapon. Forecast works for a Manticore character #fantasy #26reads #arc @torbooks

5 + stars I love stories of pianists or artists going beyond themselves for the sake of their obsession with the art. I was very young when I watched Amadeus, and it made such an impression on me, I still can't play Mozart without feeling a deep loneliness when his music was mostly playful. This novel has many layers, but one is very focused on suicide and on how different it is to be a male in the industry or a woman (classical music or not, it happens a lot). The author gi

Great news, A few volume 2s are getting ready for release, for example: Aku (Battle For Pyra), Open Wide (The I Scream Truck), Spy School (goes East) Mystery James (Digs her own Grave)... 🥰 #simoncrew @simonkids
