So in love with this series. I recognized the author (I have the books with the ice-cream characters and was happy to see full novels). These are short but full-of-emotion episodes with amazing values and lessons. I don't think I could have held the truth and remained silent when someone was taking the credit for my art and talent, but Orion is not alone. Being in a Summer Camp away from home and the usual friends can be daunting, but Orion doesn't run away.

She has people looking out for her. Telling her not to quit, believing in her. The end was better than I expected, made me a bit emotional with Pete's story and performance. People can steal many things but not our voice, and sometimes we can be destructive and silence/erasing ourselves when we should be sharing more of our talent and kindness. Thank you, author, for this amazing story.

The size and what it makes us feel is perfect for the classroom or home independent time reading, but also amazing as an audiobook or read aloud with family. Pre-ordering book 3. Hope to see more like this from this author.
