Melissa F Miller's new series is easy to read, cozy, and with light romance.

Whether it's July or December this is one small town I would love to visit. All characters have joyful Holiday names and surnames, the coziness doesn't stop there: from food to wonder drinks, fuzzy socks, cozy ornaments, decorations, reference to traditional songs, ballets and classic movies, the perfect baking goods, comfortable clothes, cabins, hiking, trekking, chopping wood and the core is: a scavenger hunt. The mood is set.

Carol passes away and leaves Nick deep in grief. He no longer wants to be Santa in their annual Christmas in July celebrations, but Noelle Winters, the local librarian (Carol's best friend, and once Nick's first love) will swirl joyful and mysterious spirits, bringing all together. She follows a collection of clues left by Carol (in small envelopes that I imagine being so beautiful and with the perfect color and calligraphy). The truth is, Carol had a dying wish for Noelle and Nick.

The scavenger hunt takes us across the town to different locations (nature and businesses) and we meet more characters. But not all is joy. There is danger too, someone is stalking her and sabotaging their goals.

Nick is a great character, very protective and loyal to the right values. A second chance romance for the holidays.

I'm excited to read book 2, Booked for Christmas.
