A gentle and heartfelt picture book that helps children understand the loss of a beloved pet.

From puppyhood in Hollywood to one final snoot boop, One Last Snoot Boop tells the story of Cuthbert, a mischievous and loyal family dog whose life is filled with love, laughter, and daily walks.

But as the years pass and Cuthbert begins to slow down, JJ and Matt must face the moment every pet family eventually encounters - saying goodbye.

Written in warm, playful rhyme and paired with soft watercolor illustrations, this touching story helps young readers understand that grief and love often go hand in hand. One Last Snoot Boop offers a gentle way for families to talk honestly about loss while celebrating the joy, friendship, and memories pets leave behind.

Early readers praise the book for helping children talk about grief:

"A great way to have conversations about loss."-Karla Contreras, Elementary School Teacher

"This book is a wonderful reminder that we can talk about our grief - and that sharing it is a vital part of healing."-Sylvia Wenninger, LMFT

Perfect for:

- Families coping with the loss of a dog

- Classrooms focused on social-emotional learning

- School counselors and librarians

- Anyone looking for a thoughtful children's book about saying goodbye

Featuring a loving two-dad household portrayed naturally within the story, One Last Snoot Boop reflects the diversity of modern families while centering universal themes of loyalty, belonging, remembrance, and enduring love.

A comforting and meaningful keepsake for families navigating their first experience with loss.

5 stars

An emotional homage. Dog families will relate to the steps of adoption of a new puppy, their arrival at home, the reactions of a new puppy settling in, how it connects to one parent more, being part of the family, and having a wonderful, joyful, full life with love to the very end. A four-legged joyful child filled with innocence and loyalty. The watercolor illustrations are amazing, so glad to have read this book. Helping families dealing with loss.
