Mo Seto

Get book here.

👉 Publishers Weekly calls The Legendary Mo Seto "Adrenaline pumping" and Kirkus Reviews declares it "An exciting action-adventure story that packs a punch."

👉 Author, A.Y. Chan is a black belt in taekwondo, and has trained in several other martial arts. She uses her experience to ensure Mo's story shines.

The Legendary Mo Seto combines A.Y.'s love of martial arts and movies. In fact, when she was much younger, she participated as an extra in movies. She never once dreamed of being an actor however--not only can she not act to save her life, but she's painfully camera shy!

A thrilling new middle grade adventure from Simon & Schuster!

Mo Seto, martial arts movie star--has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? If only there wasn’t a height restriction to audition. But 12-year-old Modesty (Mo) has never let her height get in the way before, not when she became a black belt, or when she fought the meanest boy in her class, and she’s not going to let it stop her this time! Now to figure out a way to grow five inches and fool everyone at the auditions…

Join Mo on an adventure (and audition) of a lifetime and find out if powerful things really do come in small packages!

My Review

I loved this book so much, it was exciting and full of adventure. I did Kendo for some years so I love anything related to competition and I know about letting others and myself down. She has great character growth and journey with some fun twists that will keep us turning the page. I recommend this book to all fans of action with Wuxia vibes, this is a great Taekwondo middle grade.
