Haha! This one was very visual and one of my favorites. Mac Faraday inherits the last painting of a famous artist who was murdered the night the painting was stolen. He inherits an expensive artwork with clues and a cold case. Now it gets even more interesting when Cameron Gates (from the author's other mystery series, along with Joshua), discovers the ID of her Jane Doe body being the same as the artist. Two murder cases, two bodies, one ID. Are they connected? Cameron and Joshua join Mac in this case (this crossover is one of the best because we get to see how Cam relates to Joshua for the first time). Major plot twist that helps to justify the reason, the lies, and clear some names. Of course, we can't forget the German Sheppard and the cat/skunk Irving who thinks he's a dog and has separation issues.
P.s. laughed out loud with the epilogue and all Gnarly's interventions.
I like when mysteries have artists or authors as characters or victims.
