Mac Faraday Readathon 15 volumes 1 per week.

4.5 From the volumes of this series so far (this is the sixth), I found this one darker and very relevant to our contemporary society. In the first volumes, the author gave us humor balanced with high tension and murder. In this one, we can relate to the fear of abusive, powerful men who use their influence to put women down. There are some details in this one that are dark (murder itself is, but cutting the victim's specific organ makes it brutal. Some fans prefer mysteries darker so I recommend this one rather than too much humor). So we read this with a silent respect for all the women victimized in this world who never got a chance to be discovered, given justice, or rest. Khloe fakes her kidnapping for fame and publicity but when she has something true to tell no one believes her.
If you like Katin Slaughter's darker stories about women, this is the one to start with. It also reads like a standalone and after I read the author's inspiration it made sense that it doesn't have a personal tone.
So you know I screamed when Gnarly gets stabbed!!! (Molly also didn't like it, let them keep the dessert). After the scare of having David shot last volume now I am afraid of volume 7 eheheh
P.s I've been reading one per week , posting each Thursday. Because of the theme of this one I took more days but posting this one with the 7th volume out of 15.
