Okay. This was super fun to read.
I can only see Betty White playing Helen; she would have been perfect for it. The humor and character growth were just perfect bringing together unique and improbable friends who would never have crossed paths hadn't it been for a jury duty summoning.
I was having a bad day, and this book was enough to lift any cloud. I laughed out loud, I was sad with them, and I was surprised by the plot twists even in the epilogue. Great ending.
Perfect for fans of Murder in the Building and Man on the Inside. I hope there will be more with these characters.
After giving the verdict of guilty the ones part of the jury go back to their lives, but nothing is peaceful. Some of them start dying, and it's up to them to investigate before it's their time. Awesome humor.
Here is my dream cast for this novel:

"The verdict is in; a famed athlete is headed for prison. The jurors have done their job and are free to go back to their lives. But after being sequestered for four months, life as some knew it no longer exists. Harold's house is almost destroyed by a careless driver. Exotic dancer CeeCee discovers her boyfriend has been two-timing her. Actor Alex's career is down the tubes, and 72-year-old Helen learns her family is plotting to have her declared incompetent. Things only get worse when other jurors start dropping like flies. Convinced there's a killer on the loose, the feuding foursome must find him before he does them in--or before they save him the trouble and kill each other."
