How to make Fresh Boba

I got this amazing book from Quarto Publishing Books. I love their art step-by-step books and this one is a recipe book. Simple, but also filled with diverse things.

This is a recipe book for bubble tea, jams, slushies, mojitos (fum nonalcoholic ideas), milkshakes, sips and dips, and even egg pudding, syrups, and signature teas as well. Explains the original and the supplies well. It's very cute with illustrations on the pages.

So much to try. Makes a great gift for self-care but also to enjoy with friends.

Kawaii is Japanese for cute. Sugoko Kawaii, des ne? (Very cute, right)

Let's start with Boba tea the most famous.

You can add the pre-made Boba to your drink (after you cook them for about 3 minutes) or make it from scratch. Directions in the book for both ways.

What do you need to make it from scratch?

Dough:

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) purified water

  • 1/4 (60g) dark brown sugar

  • 3/4 (90g) sifted tapioca flour, divided, plus more for your workspace and dusting.

  • 5 cups (1.2l) water

  • 3/4 (114g) raw handmade boba

  • 1/2 cup (115g) medium or dark brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon wildflower honey

  • 1 tablespoon purified water

Next time I'll do something wit KIWI 🥝
