5️⃣🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨I won't shut up about this one for a long time. What a fantastic debut. I am excited to see what the author will publish next.

Related to art, painter, sibling relationships, mental health, and historical that is set in the 1700s, this hits all the high notes for me. I love a book that shows me the character's origin story as children and then later. In my head, this book can ve split into two parts, childhood years and learning about the two sisters, their situation, their family's situation, and Molly's affliction. The second part is adulthood and all new situations that come from society and family expectations. I had just recently rewashed Hilary & Jackie, and now I want to watch this book as a movie as well. Emotional, even a bit eerie, wonderful sibling story. Made me go read more about these historical sisters.

Ps. 🎨 Have you noticed the painting used in the cover has both sisters and it's by their father?
