A beautiful, lyrical, very well-written YA magic realism book. I just discovered this one (will get book 1 too) The characters are sweet for fans of Ghibli kindness, brave females, and unique sidekicks. I like books that have characters of different ages. The lore is amazing, feels native and full of cultural richness. The author has a great way of writing using all senses, tension and emotional moments, making this a great quest. Short read, flows poetically.
I'll post the review for book 1 when possible.
