Lickitypop is a whimsical, emotionally responsive story universe created by author Ellie Moss. The debut title, Dibs the Dragon and the Marshmallow Rescue, introduces young readers to a cozy, candy-colored world where kindness, friendship, and helping others are the greatest forms of magic.
Dibs the Dragon & the Marshmallow Rescue is Book 1 in the Lickitypop Series - perfect for ages 3–8
In the magical land of Lickitypop, Dibs the Dragon is kind, helpful, and brave—but lonely. When he rescues Mooch, a marshmallow mole stuck in Squishpuff Swamp, both discover that friendship can arrive in unexpected, sticky ways—and that helping others often leads to the connections we’re searching for.

Ellie Moss is a Phoenix-based creator who built Lickitypop during one of the hardest chapters of her life—not as a business plan, but as a place to breathe when real life felt impossible. What started as a private escape became Dibs the Dragon and the Marshmallow Rescue, her debut picture book launching January 27, 2026. For years, Ellie was the person behind the scenes—carefully invisible while helping others shine. But when life got overwhelming, she did something that felt ridiculous: she created a candy-colored world of jellybean forests and bubble-blowing dragons. That world became her lifeline. And eventually, she realized she couldn't keep it to herself.
Lickitypop is built on the belief that magic has no age limit. That kindness is the strongest magic. That courage whispers instead of roars. And that sometimes the thing you create to survive is exactly what others need too. Ellie is still figuring it all out, and that's kind of the point. She's launching this book terrified and excited, hoping it offers other families—kids and grown-ups alike—the same softness and comfort it gave her.

Delightful story of friendship, courage, and support. The characters and scenery are adorable, and the message is too. 32 pages. Candy land cuteness.
